Get ready to transform into an artist of dramatic transformations in Ms. Amber’s Theatrical & Special FX Makeup class! This hands-on class will guide students through the fascinating world of makeup techniques, blending creativity with skill to create stunning looks that make a lasting impact. Whether you’re interested in age transformations, animal looks, or the magic of fantasy and special effects, this class will take your makeup artistry to the next level.  Throughout the course, students will work on creating themed looks each week, including old age, animal characters, pop art, fantasy designs, geometric/abstract makeup, prosthetics, wounds, and the festive Day of the Dead style. Each class begins with 20 minutes of sketching, where students will plan their looks for the day. After a brief break, they’ll dive into hands-on application and techniques, with guidance from Ms. Amber every step of the way. By the end of the course, students will showcase their work by recreating their favorite look from class, demonstrating the skills and techniques they've mastered. From the basics of makeup artistry to advanced special effects, this class is perfect for students looking to unleash their creativity and build their confidence in the world of theatrical makeup.

There are entrances to the church on Woodland Ave/4th St./Craycroft Rd.. Please park in rear parking lot and walk your student onto church grounds. The site coordinator will be located at the ramada for you to sign in/out.
